The PERFECT Bluebeard retelling/redemption。 I have always disliked the original Bluebeard story, it’s gross, it’s dark, and I was happy to leave it back in high school… but then this series came along! And wow。 Perfection。 I’m still reeling from the emotional investment, but it’s the good kind of reeling where you wish there was just one more chapter。 So, favorite points without spoilers:Grosbeak: I love and hate him。 😂 I can’t figure it out STILL。 Someday I’ll come to terms with it。 😂Bluebeard: The PERFECT Bluebeard retelling/redemption。 I have always disliked the original Bluebeard story, it’s gross, it’s dark, and I was happy to leave it back in high school… but then this series came along! This really is the fairytale to end all fairytales! This has been an incredible series and the author did not let us down with the final book。 Exciting and gripping as we continue following Izolda and Bluebeard to the conclusion of their journey and what an epic journey it has been。 The storyline is simply fantastical and with the most incredible world building that pulls you in and holds on tight。 The author has done a great job not just with the ending but with pulling everything together and This really is the fairytale to end all fairytales! I didn't want the series to end, but this was a wonderful conclusion to the story。 Izolda and Bluebeard had one heck of a ride。 I was worried about how this would end。 Grosbeak has become one of my favorite side characters I didn't want the series to end, but this was a wonderful conclusion to the story。 Izolda and Bluebeard had one heck of a ride。 I was worried about how this would end。 Grosbeak has become one of my favorite side characters 。。。more

A fitting conclusion to the series。 The first half was very interesting。 There was a dull moment for me at the end when all the description of Whittenham just felt repetitive and I wonder why all this world building in the end? I also was a bit uneasy about the demeaning behaviour of izolda in the end From the fighter who walks the land of the death to the mousy wife Bluebeard talked about kissing and things he would do to her。If you love heavily imaginative stories of Faye and don't mind a bit A fitting conclusion to the series。 The first half was very interesting。 There was a dull moment for me at the end when all the description of Whittenham just felt repetitive and I wonder why all this world building in the end? Like Snow on the Beach, it's weird but fucking beautiful。 I love how Sarah wrapped up everything and gave Izolda and her Bluebeard everything they deserved。 This is a series I will be sure to re-visit。 Like Snow on the Beach, it's weird but fucking beautiful。 I love how Sarah wrapped up everything and gave Izolda and her Bluebeard everything they deserved。 This is a series I will be sure to re-visit。 。。。more

"Besides, few older women have cleavage so firm you could use it to hold the extra copies of your books。" This right here。 I choked on my coffee when I read that line, and it's one among many。 I basically had to put a hold on drinking liquids while reading this last installment to protect my kindle。 Shocking doesn't begin to describe the ride this series takes to its conclusion。 "Die With Your Lord" has officially made Grosbeak hands down the best sidekick character every put on paper and I will "Besides, few older women have cleavage so firm you could use it to hold the extra copies of your books。" This right here。 I choked on my coffee when I read that line, and it's one among many。 I basically had to put a hold on drinking liquids while reading this last installment to protect my kindle。 Shocking doesn't begin to describe the ride this series takes to its conclusion。 "Die With Your Lord" has officially made Grosbeak hands down the best sidekick character every put on paper and I will die on this hill。 What a foil! and what a eulogy! I didn't ugly cry like I did in Phoenix Heart (small mercies), but "Die With Your Lord" made my heart feel so incredibly full to bursting! oh my gosh!!! I just love that feeling! "Fire of my eyes" "sun of my world" "Queen of my Heart" seriously swoon! What a Love! and the poetry!!! ahhhh I loved every bit of this conclusion。 Titus Andronicus meets Sarah KL Wilson's Happily Ever After。 "Nothing was so lost that it could not be brought back。"This is the ultimate fairytale! 。。。more

Okay fair warning。 I received this book as an arc。 And I'm so glad I did! From the beginning this storyline has just been amazing to me。 I haven't heard a whole lot about Bluebeard storie,s aside from here and there from school, but from the very first book it's just captivated my mind。 the characters are amazing。 the world beautiful and the chaos is just enough to keep it interesting。 This is definitely a series I will read again and again! This story is EVERYTHING。。。 SUCH an Intense & Breathtaking Masterpiece! Full of twists and surprises and dry humor and spooky vibes (just in time for fall!), while still remaining bright and beautiful with hope and restoration and sacrifice and love。 It's the BEST sort of poetic, Shakespearean justice + dark comedy + unique lore + odyssey + twisty retelling (yet, NOT a retelling since it's its OWN story) all rolled into one。 This finale feels quite different from the previous three, but I still This story is EVERYTHING。。。 SUCH an Intense & Breathtaking Masterpiece! Yes。 Yes I am, sir。 ^。^ <33 I'm excruciating in love with the dedication and the (new!) artwork in this one already。I'm doing it right now because about an hour ago, Sarah posted up the ebook for her Patreon supporters' early access。 If you haven't started reading this series, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE?? Get off of Goodreads and go read it NOW。 >> https://www。amazon。com/dp/B08P3W81HM?。。。This book is officially going to release at the end of this month。 But it LOOKS like the hardcopy/paperback is already out according to Amazon!! 。。。more

The conclusion I’ve been longing to read! I have loved this journey for Bluebeard and Izolda since the very beginning and could not wait to see where Sarah was going to take them after the cliffhanger at the end of Give Your Heart To The Barrow。 Bluebeard’s erratic craziness and Izolda’s fierce practicality is such a great juxtaposition in a relationship。 This series is very fantastical with Alice in Wonderland qualities and that theme continues in this conclusion。 There are many times where you The conclusion I’ve been longing to read! …… I am in that place。 The place of finishing。 When you have read a story that has taken you to so many places and through so many emotions and then it’s finished and you just have to breathe。 I have loved the entirety of this series。 I enjoyed the characters, watching them change and grow and become who they were set out to be。 Sarah has an incredible knack for ripping my heart out of chest, only to stuff it back in, knit it up and tie it with a bow! An enjoyable read and definitely a very satisfying ending to this series。 I enjoyed learning how the Path of Princes was to be completed and the role the other wives played。 Bluebeard is very clever and I love how everything came together in the end!

OMG 。 What a phenomenal series this has been。If you haven’t read it before, now is the time。 You need to read in order but I’ll let others write war and peace but it’s brilliant。Please don’t be put off by my short review ( I have too many to read)。This is a great telling of Bluebeard。 Everything comes together in this finale。 What a tumultuous journey it has been。 But it’s been so worth it。No more gushing from me , simply a 100% recommended reading。You can’t go wrong。

I was so sad that this series has come to an end, but what an ending it was。 Izolda has to carry her almost dead husband, ski to skin, whilst bargaining with the Wittenbrand。 To win she must also bargain with and defeat Death himself, even at the cost of her own life。 She finds out why her husband has married fifteen times before marrying her and why he has kept the heads of his enemies。 She must be willing to sacrifice herself in order to save both her husband and Wittenhame itself。 Nothing els I was so sad that this series has come to an end, but what an ending it was。 Izolda has to carry her almost dead husband, ski to skin, whilst bargaining with the Wittenbrand。 To win she must also bargain with and defeat Death himself, even at the cost of her own life。 She finds out why her husband has married fifteen times before marrying her and why he has kept the heads of his enemies。 She must be willing to sacrifice herself in order to save both her husband and Wittenhame itself。 Nothing else will suffice。 。。。more

I don't feel this book is quite as fast paced as the earlier installments in the series, but it is certainly just as twisty, grand, romantic and manic as it's predecessors。 It brings together all the threads of the story and twists them together in a fittingly wonderful conclusion to the series。While I loved the first book in this series, I have to admit I wasn't too sure about numbers two and three。 There was too much left open and unresloved for my taste and too much time before the next insta I don't feel this book is quite as fast paced as the earlier installments in the series, but it is certainly just as twisty, grand, romantic and manic as it's predecessors。 It brings together all the threads of the story and twists them together in a fittingly wonderful conclusion to the series。While I loved the first book in this series, I have to admit I wasn't too sure about numbers two and three。 There was too much left open and unresloved for my taste and too much time before the next installment。 Now that I read the series as a whole I appreciate it so much more。 Definately a series to read all at once, not strung out over a couple of years。 。。。more
